Christine Campbell is the vice president of digital & media at TideSmart Global. In her role, Christine provides strategic media planning and digital recommendations to TideSmart’s client service teams and end clients.

Christine has brought innovation to our media practices, including a growing emphasis on the digitally-enabled national delivery of hyper local (geo-targeted) solutions. Working in concert with our marketing services group, Christine and her team help connect thousands of client locations to targeted local prospects using mobile, search, social, OTT and related strategies, for brands as diverse as Health Mart Pharmacy and (healthy lifestyle brand) Royal Robbins.

Prior to joining TideSmart, Christine oversaw media services at Garrand Moehlenkamp. Specifically, Christine developed and executed both traditional and digital media campaigns for a variety of “health leaning” brands (including MaineHealth and HP Hood). Christine developed her expertise in earlier media roles at Time Life.

Christine earned her BS in communications from Ithaca College.

Mike Comtois is the vice president of information technology at TideSmart. In his role, he provides critical guidance on the best ways to use technology in a secure and efficient manner to meet corporate and client needs.

Since joining the company in 2014, Mike has provided valuable ideas, insights, and support for a wide array of programs, resulting in effective and cutting-edge technological solutions. Working closely with the Client Engagement and Operations teams, he is instrumental in crafting IT solutions that meet even the most complex activation’s needs.  Mike is central to the smooth implementation of all technology used on the TideSmart campus and in the field, overseeing support and ensuring that data security exceeds the most stringent guidelines.

Prior to joining TideSmart Global, Mike worked in multiple areas of IT, from helpdesk and data analysis to systems and network administration.

Mike earned his BS in Information technology from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2004.

Scot Forbes is a vice president and the creative director for TideSmart Global.

In his role, Scot brings a discerning eye and proven ear to the development of compelling experiences and associated content on behalf of TideSmart’s patient, employee, consumer, business and provider audiences. From brand identity and content direction to experience design and digital engagement strategies, Scot leverages a talented team of designers, video specialists, media strategists, and production resources to bring brand stories to life.

Prior to joining TideSmart, Scot served in creative and content leadership roles on behalf of noteworthy brands and studios. As art director at Disney Interactive, he managed, co-created, and designed content for more than ten video series, featuring integrated marketing (ESPN, DISNEY IP, XBOX) and social influencers. At Maker Studios (now the “Disney Digital Network”), he directed all in-house creative projects, teaming with programming, network, sales, and executive stakeholders to create programming-specific marccom resources (including social feeds, merchandise, events, digital campaigns, channel branding and more).  At Fox Networks Group, he lead the digital design efforts for news, programming and sports properties, including the 2019 Women’s World Cup. At Guthy | Renker, he created and designed direct response marketing campaigns for major beauty and personal care products including Proactiv, Meaningful Beauty, and WEN Hair Care.

Scot earned his BFA in art education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Jeff Fortmann is executive vice president and the general manager of TideSmart Experiential. He leads TideSmart Global’s southern Connecticut office.

In his role, Jeff leads TideSmart’s experiential division, focusing on events, engagements, and activations that generate awareness, affinity, and increased sales for some of the biggest global brands. A driven, entrepreneurial business leader who joined TideSmart in March 2021, he plays an integral role in moving TideSmart Experiential business forward.

Prior to joining TideSmart, Jeff was the Associate Publisher and Business Director for Event Marketer Magazine and Event Design Magazine where he grew Event Marketer to leadership status in the experiential marketing and event production world. One of the foremost connectors for the information needs of brand-side event marketers and agency executives across the spectrum of face-to-face media, he ran the world’s largest portfolio of marketing content, conferences, recognition programs and corporate training programs that included Event Marketer, Chief Marketer, The Experiential Marketing Summit, EventTech, PROMO, The Ex Awards, PRO Awards and EventTech Awards.  He has also served as vice president of marketing and new business development for Highmark Techsystems.

Jeff earned his BA in mass communications/media studies from the University of Connecticut and resides in New Canaan, CT.

Todd Friberg is the executive vice president of Operations and Production at TideSmart Global and provides guidance to other TideSmart Global enterprises. Todd is also a partner in the business.

Since 2003, Todd has stewarded TideSmart’s operations, technology and production departments, including the design and development of its Mobile Health Vehicle (MHV) fleet and stewardship of its patient platform. Together with his teams, Todd is one of the most decorated experts in the experiential marketing industry today.

Prior to TideSmart, Todd held key roles at Pierce Promotions (Omnicom), including fabrication oversight, operational expertise and creative direction and design for noteworthy clients (including Unilever, Gillette, and more). In previous roles, Todd also helped develop proprietary technology for an online education start-up and provided design support as part of IDEXX Laboratories in-house creative team.

Todd earned his BAA in design from the Maine College of Art (Portland School of Art).

Ken Jackowitz is the chief strategy officer of TideSmart Global and general manager of TideSmart Insights.

Joining the team in November of 2020, Ken brings his success of designing, building, delivering and optimizing customer experiences across healthcare, retail, technology, financial and outsourcing verticals. His success has been leading organizations of all sizes to embrace emerging technologies and introducing solutions that enable the delivery of exceptional customer experiences that drive revenue growth, customer retention and profitability.

Prior to joining TideSmart, Ken served as the Chief Product, Marketing and Digital Officer of CompuCom, an ODP company, specializing in technology managed services. Ken has also held key leadership roles with other companies including IDEXX Laboratories, Bank of America, and Office Depot.

Ken sits on the executive advisory boards of Pathr, a spatial intelligence technology firm, and baüne, a cognitive enterprise solutions integrator.

Ken earned his BS in marketing management from Bentley University, and was a visiting scientist/executive in residence at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, working with student innovators on research in human computer interaction, cognitive behavior, and smart cities.

Ryan Jennings is the vice president of client engagement at TideSmart Global. In his role, Ryan provides strategic guidance and executive oversight to our clients’ projects and participating client engagement personnel.

Given the breadth of services available to TideSmart’s clients, Ryan focuses on defining client needs and recommending tailored solutions unique to their objectives and requirements. To do so, Ryan and his team integrate TideSmart subject matter expertise across disciplines (including clinical, analytics, experiential, digital, creative and more), while offering clients the ease of a single point of contact and turnkey project management support.

Prior to joining TideSmart, Ryan served in executive roles with leading medical manufacturers and healthcare providers. At Smith and Nephew, a global medical technology enterprise, Ryan developed long-term partnerships with leading hospital systems, practice networks and the physicians central to their success. At Amedisys, a leading provider of home health, hospice and personal care, Ryan nurtured key client relationships by consistently delivering measurable results.

Ryan earned his BA in business and management from Sacred Heart University.

Maria Johnson is the senior vice president of business services at TideSmart Globa. In her role, Maria oversees a broad collection of internal functions, including human resources, AP/AR, risk management, campus operations, and more.

Since joining TideSmart in 2006, Maria has played an increasingly critical role in managing TideSmart’s growth and evolution. This includes the administrative oversight (contracting, payment processing, tax coordination and more) of thousands of nationally dispersed field staff, as well as annual revenue recognition and tax filings in all 50 states.

Maria also supervises TideSmart’s employment experience (including talent acquisition and HR oversight) and maintains TideSmart’s eco-friendly campus, both of which have been recognized for excellence (Best Places to Work in Maine, Eco-Excellence Award) during her tenure.

Maria attended the University of Southern Maine.

Kevin Joyce is an executive vice president for TideSmart Global and the general manager for TideSmart Health. Kevin is also provides advisory support to other TideSmart enterprises.

Since joining the company in 2003, Kevin has nurtured the development of TideSmart’s unique capabilities, including its clinical practice, its local marketing platform and its analytics offerings. Kevin also provides executive oversight for some of TideSmart longest tenured client relationships, including McKesson Corporation, Lowe’s Home Improvement and others.

Prior to joining TideSmart, Kevin held leadership roles at Pierce Promotions (Omnicom), including oversight of the agency’s 50-person operations team. During his tenure, Kevin cultivated new relationships with critical “anchor” clients (including Gillette, Sam’s Club and more).

Kevin earned his BA in psychology from Middlebury College and attended Trinity College Dublin.

Ryan Kavanaugh is vice president of production for TideSmart. In his role, he manages creative production of experiential programs from concept to execution, overseeing fabrication, procurement, graphic production, and technology implementation.

Since 2006, Ryan has melded operational insights with artistic style to bring our clients’ brands to life. Leveraging TideSmart’s in-house design capabilities, and partnering with carefully selected vendors, he ensures that all the elements that make a compelling experience (vehicles, structures, graphics, technology) are held to the highest quality standard and flawlessly integrated. In addition, Ryan oversees the creation of video and interactive content to highlight product features and enhance and extend the event experience.

Prior to his career in experiential marketing, Ryan developed interactive museum exhibits for sites including Boston’s Museum of Science, NYC’s Museum of Modern Art, and Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry and created animation and conceptual designs for research groups at the MIT Media Lab.

Ryan earned his BFA in illustration from Parsons School of Design.

Pam Kendrick is the vice president of marketing services at TideSmart Global. In her role, Pam develops and deploys unique local marketing solutions for multi-site health providers and healthy franchises.

As one of the first employees at TideSmart, Pam has played a central role in developing the operating systems and protocols that underlie our service offerings. This is especially true of our local marketing services, which leverage a combination of platform automation, integrated vendor delivery and “help desk” support to balance the “personalization” needs of local users with the “compliance” needs of corporate brands.

Prior to joining TideSmart, Pam served in a number of roles at Pierce Promotions (Omnicom), most notably as the On-Call Supervisor for large-scale (e.g. chainwide) Walmart event programs on behalf of CPG leaders (including Unilever, Gillette and others).

Pam earned her BS in management, communications and public relations from Emerson College.

Jamie Ross is the vice president of client engagement at TideSmart Global. In his role, Jamie provides strategic consultation to our client service teams and executive client contacts.

Jamie has developed a reputation for national-caliber client service and delivery. Blending the traditional sophistication of “big agency” offerings with the personalized (and senior-level) attention typically attributed to “boutique” firms, Jamie and his team offer Promerica Health clients the best of both worlds.

Prior to joining TideSmart, Jamie served as a Group Managing Director at mcgarrybowen (Dentsu Aegis), a leading communications agency, where he was responsible for major clients (including United Airlines, Subway & Dr. Pepper Snapple Group). Jamie also worked on the client side, previously serving as the National Advertising and Marketing Manager for Kmart (Sears Holdings Corporation). Jamie began his agency career at Young & Rubicam, where he managed relationships with AT&T, the NFL, Jaguar and other noteworthy brands.

Donato J. Tramuto is “chairman in residence” at TideSmart Health. In his role, Donato leverages decades of Fortune 500 health care leadership experience and high-profile health advocacy to shape the strategic growth of TideSmart Health.

Prior to advising TideSmart Health, Donato served as Chairman of the Board of Healthways (Nasdaq:HWY) and later as Chief Executive officer at Tivity Health®, Inc., (Nasdaq: TVTY), a leading health and wellness company with a portfolio of noteworthy brands (including Nutrisystem, South Beach Diet, SilverSneakers and more).  During his tenure, he single handedly unleased the value of the business separating the two divisions in 2016 and redirecting the focus of the company on the Senior Fitness Business addressing Social Determinants of Health in that specific population.

Donato’s  tenure at Tivity Health was further informed by prior executive and board leadership experiences at a host of venerable insurance, pharmaceutical, health technology and health services companies, including UnitedHealth Group, AllScripts, Caremark, Boehringer-Ingelheim and Merck.

Donato has been widely recognized for his commitment to social change and health care innovation, leading the New York Times to deem him “a global health activist.” As the founder and chair of The Tramuto Foundation, Donato has worked to advance young people’s rights to education and health care access and combat human right violations, providing scholarships to over 100 students in the process and Grants to nearly 50 organizations.  Donato is also the founder of Health eVillages, a non-profit that leverages mobile health technologies to enrich health care access in some of the world’s most challenging clinical environments. Donato’s activism has earned him accolades, including the prestigious Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope and the RFK Embracing His Legacy Awards; he now serves as a board member for Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, chairman of its Leadership Council, and Co-Chairman of the RFK Human Rights – Italy,   working in these roles and through his foundation to address workplace dignity and foster inclusion in the United States and throughout Europe.

Donato is a passionate champion of cutting-edge approaches to health care access, drug safety, and addressing the social determinants of health (SDOH), defined by the World Health Organization as the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work and age. Both personally and professionally, Donato has brought consumers, payers, health care practitioners and employers together to overcome SDOH challenges and disparities through collaborative nutrition, fitness and social programming.

An accomplished author, Donato wrote, Life’s Bulldozer Moments: How Adversity Leads to Success in Life and Business.   He will be launching his second book in the fall of 2021.

Dr. Erin Wagenen is TideSmart Health’s Laboratory Director. In her role, Dr. Wagenen provides oversight and guidance to TideSmart Health’s clinical solutions team and related advice to our clients and partners.

From her work in pediatrics to lab-based oncology research, Dr. Wagenen brings a broad background and diversity of experience to TideSmart Health’s screening and testing efforts. More recently, Dr. Wagenen supported the mass vaccination efforts surrounding the State of Maine’s COVID-19 response. Building on this experience as well as lessons learned during previous aid missions to Bolivia, Haiti, and Kenya, Dr. Wagenen has also developed a unique firsthand perspective on the importance of mobile health delivery and related population health strategies.

Dr. Wagenen received her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago after completing her undergraduate studies at Colby College. She completed her residency training in pediatrics at Maine Medical Center.

Steve Woods is the founder, president and chief executive officer of TideSmart Global.

Since 2003, Steve has stewarded TideSmart’s growth and development, leveraging strategic investments in technology (including our patient platform), service offerings (including the acquisition of an analytics and compliance auditing company), campus (featuring eco-friendly construction) and talent to establish TideSmart as one of the leading marketing and wellness agencies in the country.

Prior to founding TideSmart, Steve served as the president of Pierce Promotions, an Omnicom agency specializing in experiential marketing. Steve has also held key positions with other noteworthy agency groups (including Interpublic Group and WPP) and brands (Coca-Cola USA, Miller Brewing Company, Ford).

As an adjunct professor at several leading universities, including the University of South Carolina, Clark Atlanta University, and Georgia State, Steve has shared his expertise with tomorrow’s leaders and providers.

As a community leader and supporter, Steve supports local entrepreneurs (Maine Angels), has contributed to a collection of non-profit organizations and has served on many boards (including the American Red Cross, Boys & Girls Clubs and the Maine Sports Hall of Fame). He is a former town councilor and town chairman (Yarmouth, Maine) and Maine U.S. Senate candidate.
